The RX-1 Classic Grand is considered a Kawai Legacy Instrument, the entry-level model of the award-winning RX Series Grand Pianos that were first introduced in 1995. Collectively, they were chosen “Acoustic Piano Line of the Year” by MMR Magazine’s Dealers’ Choice Awards in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
A stunning upright piano from a long tradition of piano-makers that spans three continents. The blush walnut finish is truly lovely giving this piano tremendous appeal. The leg design is a stylized, swept leg Queen Ann. The size of the piano, just a bit larger than typical counterparts, gives the player access to a resonance and fullness that approaches grand pianos. The key action is accurate and true and the large soundboard and long string, provide good sustain of note, and depth of tone.
For over 200 years, Rud. Ibach Sohn manufactured pianos in Germany, many of them owned by leading German composers of the 19th century. Though production ended in 2007, these pianos continue to be a treasure. This 5’10” grand has a warm, seasoned tone that has blossomed to into its fullest resonance. For its age, the satin ebony finish is in superior condition.

An American maker of pianos, Everett was founded in 1883 by the John Church Company. Their pianos were especially popular during the mid-twentieth century, and production continued up through 1989. This studio upright from the mid ’60s has ripened to its fullest potential! It is in excellent condition for its age with a responsive action and unmarred finish. The tone is a vibrant and robust, a classic upright sound. A budget-friendly find for beginning and intermediate pianists!
