The reason I’m with you today is to talk about the Solich Piano 2022 Year End Grand Clearance Event. Now I call it Grand Clearance because it is the largest Year End event in our company’s history. And it’s far more than just grand pianos. And we of course have every type of grand and baby grand and even semi concert grand up to seven to nine feet down to under five feet. But in addition, we have something for everyone. We have upright pianos of all sizes and levels. We have Yamaha Clavinovas Silent Pianos, Transacoustics, Disklavier reproducing player pianos, even the Yamaha AvantGrand hybrid pianos, both the upright versions and the big brother, which is in a grand cabinet.

So just to chat with you a bit about why this is such a special event, I’m going to try to answer some of the universal questions. So we’ve taken hundreds of phone calls this time of year. And one of the things I love to do as the owner is to help my staff on the phones, because often the staff– the team is running around, they’ll be at a school one moment trying to measure for a new performance piano the next moment, they’re on the retail store floor helping consumer customers, families, churches. And so I like to be the command center and I’ve set the phones up. And if you’re seeing this video, there’s a good chance that we will speak or we’ve spoken before. And I’m just going to go through several of the questions that I get frequently about our year end event, especially this year. And I’m going to answer the questions to the best of my ability. But this is so that you can ask more questions.

So ultimately, the best thing to do is to make your way to the nearest Solich Piano store as soon as you can. As far as our schedule goes, we are open till the last possible moment on New Year’s Eve evening. And so we’re pretty much open between five and 6pm in every store on New Year’s Eve to give you the opportunity to make your purchases and then we are going to be closed New Year’s Day. And we will open again on Monday January 2, but it’s just best to get in the soonest.

Some people have asked “how many pianos are a part of your year end clearance and why is this one the largest in company history?” And there are reasons for that. This year, we paid special attention to the activity that we did all year. And so for the first 11 and a half months of the majority of the year, we did more transacting more selling and more buying and more trading of pianos than than ever before. And so what that has created is it’s created an inventory company wide of over 750 pianos of all shapes and sizes. Everything from your $500 Yamaha keyboard up to your Bosendorfer your Yamaha premium pianos your Schimmel, Estonia, your vintage Steinways and all the new and used in between. So that’s why over 750 pianos are involved. But I had a customer recently do an online chat with us, it’s become a very popular way to communicate, and the customer asked, “look, I’m in Pittsburgh, but I’m eyeballing a piano that’s at your Columbus Easton store.” And our answer was, yes, go ahead and we’ll send you a video of the piano. If you love it, go ahead and pay for it over the phone. We’ll do your documents electronically, and we will absolutely put that piano on our transfer so that you’ll only pay local delivery and you can have it where you live not where the piano is. So that is something we offer that nobody else does that whether you are in Pittsburgh, Western Pennsylvania, the entire state of Ohio or the entire state of Michigan. You know we are the Yamaha dealer for these areas. And we are the only Yamaha consumer and institutional dealer for all these markets.

And then along with Yamaha, we’ve selected Bosendorfer, Schimmel, Estonia and vintage Steinways as well as a plethora of used pianos to go along. So if you want to come on this great piano journey with us, we also offer many payment methods. Yamaha has a Red Envelope program and they’re offering 24 months 0% financing with approved credit through Piano Credit Company and we’ll take care of all that for you here. Or you might be the type that says “thanks for the offer but I’d rather use my credit cards.” Maybe you want to buy a piano and split it up over a couple of cards so that way you can maximize your points and miles. Look, as the owner Solich Piano, I do a ton of traveling, I’m in the same boat. And I would say go for it. Some people say, I’m a check, or I’m a cash buyer, we’ll do that too. Whatever fits in with your lifestyle to give you the most piano, that’s the payment method that we’re– we’re going to encourage you to use.

And then some people ask, “Do I have the chance to take delivery?” Or “do I have to take delivery in order to take advantage of year end stacked rebates,” because that’s the– that’s the deal at year end is that we’re stacking every rebate from all year plus the inventory reduction rebates and the Solich clearance rebates at the end of the year, and also allowing consumers to purchase with institutional pricing. And all that gets stacked together to offer you the very best days to purchase a piano in the entire year. So do you have to take delivery? No. Many people have reasons to defer delivery, if you need us to store a piano because you’re renovating your home, maybe you’re closing on a home, or maybe you have furniture that needs moved. Talk to us about that, because we can help. But you do not have to take delivery. The moment that you do your transaction, whether you use our financing to pay over time, from one year all the way up to 10 years. Or if you use credit cards or a mixture thereof, what we’re going to do is we’re going to apply those savings, you can push your delivery on to the new year when it’s convenient for you logistically. On the other hand, if you say look, I need delivery now, I want delivery through the year end process, we have about seven of our most trusted moving companies, piano movers across Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. And they are literally coming to the stores or the warehouses, picking up pianos hourly and transporting them to our clients.

So if that’s you, and you say, I’m buying so that my kids can enjoy for the remainder of Christmas/holiday break, we got a delivery for you, and we’re going to work it out. And if you’re beyond our general territory, we can still get it to you. I have people calling from New York, I have people calling from Dallas and Houston, Texas. I’ve got people calling from Indiana, Chicago, Tennessee. And if it’s a piano that we can sell you in your territory, then we’re going to make it happen and we’re gonna find a creative, inexpensive, economic way to get it there.

Other questions that I get asked all the time: “Do you take trade ins?” Yes, we take trade ins. In fact, for year end, we overvalue your trade and so 11 and a half months out of the year, we’re very fair on trade ins. This time of year, we’re going to overvalue your trade in if possible, or at the very very least, we’re going to give you a token and remove it. To make room for a new piano. All you have to do is bring a picture on your phone, preferably with a serial number, or at least the brand and make and model of the piano bring it to your closest Solich Piano store so we can consider it when you are selecting your new piano. Those are the questions I generally get asked on the phone.
