In the article from The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette our owner, Thomas Solich, details the excitement of the Pittsburgh Opera piano sale event.
Article Excerpt:
“More than 150 pianos sat tuned and ready to be played at the Bitz Opera Factory in the Strip District on Saturday afternoon. Occasionally, a stream of chords echoed around the studio-turned showroom as potential buyers tickled the ivories to test an instrument.
Part of the 15th Annual Piano Sale hosted by the Pittsburgh Opera, many of the pianos boasted “sold” signs, indicating a busy weekend of sales.
Thomas Solich, 38, owner of Solich Piano and Music Co., called it “the largest display of pianos in a five-state radius in a given year.”
In fact, Mr. Solich, who runs the sale for the opera, said he often advises piano teachers to tell their students to wait months for the sale so they can buy a high-quality instrument at a price not normally available in stores.”
