Upright Piano Sizes

New Yamaha upright pianos offer very high sound quality without taking up a significant amount of space. This makes them perfect for learning on at home or in a studio.

The spinet is the smallest with the largest number of moving parts. A new console piano is one of the most popular choices out of the three models and is easy to find. Finally, a studio upright piano offers a richer tone than the aforementioned models and is generally used in music composition.

Upright pianos are typically between 110cm – 135cm in height, around 155cm wide and 60cm deep. Primarily, the height is the major difference between each type of model. These pianos are much lighter than most grand pianos averaging a weight between 300-500lbs.
